The design of current waste bins, paper and bottle banks presents barriers for disabled and elderly persons, depriving them of access to recycling. Easy access to garbage chutes means that people with accessibility challenges have no choice to send recyclables to landfill.
HÅLLBAR.ORG can help you setup or participate in a community access assistance program to help your neighbours recycle.
Volunteers make a big difference to people and planet by lending a hand one hour week. Just drop by your neighbour’s home with a box or bag, and walk that recycling down to the bin.
